Drug Free Campus

Substance abuse has become an alarming health crisis across the nation. In order to avoid such scenario in Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, an Drug Free Campus Committee has constituted on 09/10/2025. Mr. V Sai Kumar, Director Facilities appointed as Nodal Officer and Dr Manthan D Janodia, Registrar as a Member Secretary as Main members of the Drug Free Campus Committee, along with two Deans, Representatives from Security, Hostel warden, Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist and Student Representatives Of the University. Drug Free Campus Committee has been constituted to ensure a drug-free campus by imposing a total ban on the possession or consumption or use of drugs and alcohol by students of the University, within or outside the campus/hostels.

  • To organize awareness programmes in the University and hostels with the help of concerned authorized agencies/organizations.

  • To educate the students about the ill-effects of drugs and alcohol.

  • To encourage peer policing among students against the use of drugs and reporting of any noticed use of drugs by the students to the student’s volunteers of Anti-Drugs committee.

  • Objectives of the Anti-Drugs Awareness Committee

  • To spread awareness to ensure a drug/substance free campus.

  • To engage the students in Anti-Drug activities and educate them about the ill-effects.

  • Motivate students to become volunteers of Anti-Drug activities in their life.

  • Ensure no sale of drugs or alcohol in college premises.

  • To prevent the initiation of drug use and the increase to addiction in those who have already initiated to use.

Anti Drug - Pledge

Dear friends,

Youth is the energy of any nation and the power of youth has an important contribution in the development ofsociety and country. Therefore, it is very important thatmaximum number of youth join the drug free Indiacampaign. Accepting this challenge of the country, today we unite under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” and take a pledge that not only the community, family, friends, but also overselves will be drug free because change should

start with ourselves.

 

So let us all together take a firm decision to make our

Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, Telangana drug-free.
