I completed my research work at IIT Madras in 2015 and joined “Ahalia School of Optometry”, Palakkad as “Head of the Department” and subsequently I was promoted as Principal of the college. Later I joined MNR University, Hyderabad as “DEAN-School of Medical and Health Sciences”. Currently I am working as Dean – School of Allied & Healthcare Sciences Technology, Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, a deemed to be university at Hyderabad. I am also an “Internal Examiner” appointed by “National Board of Examinations” for DNB Ophthalmology students in conducting “Formative Assessment Test (FAT)” at Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital. I am a regular invitee for “Invited talks” at CME’s conducted all over Kerala and southern India. I am also an “External Examiner” to Manipal University and all optometry colleges across Kerala for conducting practical exams for UG and PG students affiliated to “Kerala University of Health Sciences” (KUHS), Thrissur. KUHS also appoints me as an “Inspector” to all its affiliated colleges for granting affiliation. I had completedsuccessfully B&L Experience vision project in association with Optometry Council of India,where he received a grant of approximately Rs.200000 (Two lakhs rupees) for completing the project. I have more than 29 years of clinical, academic and research experience. I am a peer reviewer for SCI indexed “International Journal of Ophthalmology” and & Elsevier’s Journal of Current Ophthalmology. I am also a member of “Institutes Ethics Committee” at Ahalia International Foundation. I am a member of IACLE and also have a FIACLE status. I have “27 national and international peer reviewed research publications” to my credit along with a publication of a book “A Handbook on Practical Approach to Troubleshooting and Solution in Spectacle Dispensing” reviewed and released by Prof.Mo.Jalie. I have good leadership qualities with vast experience in clinical, academic, research and entrepreneur skills for more than 33 years in the field of “Eye Care”. I was a recognized supervisor to guide PhD scholars under Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, Kerala. Now I am a recognized supervisor to guide PhD scholars at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth. I was an honorary member (FIRST MEMBER in India) of Interim Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professions (ICAHP, Central commission under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, India). I am also an honorary member for Optometry at “Kerala State Allied &Healthcare Professions”. I was also a Legislation, Registration, and Standards Committee Member at World Council of Optometry (WCO). In March 2025, I was selected as “Professional Council member for Optometry” in NCAHP (National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professions) under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, India.
Interested in setting up an “Optics Research Lab” for optometrists. Apart from the regular optics experiments, interested in “Construction of a Shack-Hartmann Aberrometer with Adaptive Optics system for the measurement and correction of Human Ocular Aberrations” and also to develop it for retinal imaging also.
