Course Overview

The M.Sc. Infectious Diseases program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is designed to provide advanced knowledge and practical expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases. This postgraduate program focuses on the study of microbial pathogens, epidemiology, immunology, and antimicrobial resistance, all crucial to addressing global health challenges.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including microbiology, virology, immunology, infectious disease diagnostics, public health, and the latest therapeutic approaches to managing infections. Students gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, research methodologies, and developing strategies for controlling and preventing infectious outbreaks.

Course Details

Description: 2 Years Degree Program

No. of Credits: 80 minimum and as specified

The minimum eligibility is a B.Sc. degree in Microbiology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Public Health or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

The M.Sc. Infectious Diseases curriculum provides advanced training in microbiology, epidemiology, immunology, diagnostics, infectious disease prevention, and outbreak management. This program prepares students for roles in public health organizations, hospitals, diagnostic labs, research institutions, and NGOs focused on infectious disease control.
