Course Overview

The M.Sc. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Public Health program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is a postgraduate course designed to train students to address the growing global burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory diseases. This program combines public health principles with advanced knowledge of NCD prevention, management, and policy development.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum emphasizes epidemiology, program planning, health promotion, and research related to NCDs. Students gain practical experience through internships and research projects, preparing them to contribute to national and international health organizations, research institutes, and government health departments. Enabling them to pursue further higher studies & do research in Non Communicable Diseases – Public Health along with plenty of job opportunities globally.

Description: 2 Years Degree Program

No. of Credits: 80 minimum and as specified

A B.Sc. degree in Public Health, Life Sciences, or an equivalent field with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

The M.Sc. Non-Communicable Diseases in Public Health curriculum spans 4 semesters, combining theoretical foundations with hands-on practical training. The final semester includes a project and internship to provide real-world experience.
