Course Overview
The M.Sc. Human Genetics program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is designed to provide specialized knowledge and advanced training in the field of genetics, focusing on the genetic basis of human health, diseases, and inheritance. This postgraduate program equips students with the skills needed to understand genetic disorders, genetic counseling, and cutting-edge techniques in genomic research.
This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum covers a range of topics including molecular genetics, gene mapping, genetic counseling, clinical genetics, bioinformatics, and personalized medicine. Students gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques such as DNA analysis, PCR, gene sequencing, and genetic screening, preparing them to address complex genetic issues in clinical and research settings.
Graduates of this program emerge as ‘Skilled Genetic Counselors, Clinical Geneticists, or Researchers’, enabling them to pursue further higher studies & do research in Human Genetics along with plenty of job opportunities globally in hospitals, genetics laboratories, research institutions, and healthcare organizations.
