Dear Students, Faculty, and Esteemed Stakeholders,
We take great pride in being a Deemed-to-be University at the forefront of innovation in teaching, learning, and research. Our academic philosophy is centered on enhancing student employability and supporting a wide range of career pathways through our comprehensive RISE framework — Research, Innovation, Startups, and Entrepreneurship.Among our many groundbreaking initiatives, a few standout projects include:
a. International and Industrial Collaborations: To promote joint academic programs, faculty/ student exchanges, research projects in areas such as technology, healthcare, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
b. Research Innovations: Action Research: Is a family of research methodologies that pursue action (or change) and research (or understanding) at the same time.Community Research: Instead, data on patients visiting the Hospital, takes place in community settings and involves community members in the design. Student Research: Students can mail to the Vice Chancellor at vcdrshetty@mrvv.edu.in, research grants are disbursed directly to students, eliminating intermediate delays and administrative hurdles.
c. Integrated Development, Structure, Function (DSF) module: A comprehensive understanding of basic sciences. Likewise, clinical manifestations of common systemic diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Tuberculosis are taught in an interconnected format, rather than as isolated topics.
d. Answer First and Discuss Next: (Z-A technique): Instead of one-way lectures and repetitive slide presentations, students are required to read the subject matter in advance, 10–20 thought-provoking questions, clinical images, or case scenarios are presented to the entire class. All students write their responses individually, which are then discussed in an interactive session led by faculty.
e. Enhance confidence of students,Convert Anxiety into Excitementand create an environment of motivation and excitement when the students are anxious of failure.Enhance the Leadership Qualities in Students: Each student is made a faculty for at least 5 minutes at the beginning of the class. He will read and present the salient points of the subject.
f. Covid-19 Innovative Precautions, Dr. Shetty PB, Vice Chancellor, National TV, https://youtu.be/hTvNzoOXigQ.
