Course Overview
The M.Sc. Pain & Palliative Care program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is designed to provide specialized training in the management of chronic pain and the palliative care of patients with life-limiting illnesses. This postgraduate program focuses on compassionate care, enhancing the quality of life for patients through a holistic and multidisciplinary approach.
This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum covers topics such as pain management techniques, palliative care practices, pharmacology, psychosocial support, end-of-life care, and ethical considerations in palliative settings. Students gain hands-on experience in administering pain relief therapies, coordinating care teams, and providing emotional and psychological support to both patients and their families.

The minimum eligibility is a B.Sc. degree in Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Physiotherapy or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
The M.Sc. Pain & Palliative Care curriculum provides advanced training in pain management, palliative care techniques, patient assessment, end-of-life care, and holistic treatment approaches. This program prepares students for roles in hospitals, palliative care centers, hospice facilities, and community health settings.
