Course Overview

The M.Sc. Tropical Medicine program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is a postgraduate course designed to train students in diagnosing, managing, and preventing diseases prevalent in tropical regions. The program equips students with an understanding of the environmental, social, and biological determinants of tropical diseases and prepares them to develop effective strategies for disease control and health promotion.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum emphasizes parasitology, infectious disease management, vector control, and global health policies related to tropical diseases. Description: 2 Years Degree Program

No. of Credits: 80 minimum and as specified

A B.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Public Health, or an equivalent field with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

The M.Sc. Tropical Medicine curriculum spans 4 semesters, combining rigorous academic training with practical exposure. The final semester includes a project and internship to provide hands-on experience in tropical medicine.
