Course Overview

The M.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is designed to provide advanced training in the science of nutrition and its application in the prevention and management of diseases. This postgraduate program focuses on integrating nutrition with clinical practice to improve overall health outcomes, with a special emphasis on personalized diet plans and therapeutic nutrition to assist healthcare providers.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and handson skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum covers advanced topics in clinical nutrition, metabolic disorders, nutrition therapy for diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and obesity, and the management of dietetics in hospital settings. Students gain hands-on experience in assessing nutritional needs, formulating meal plans, and working with patients to manage chronic conditions through dietary interventions.

Graduates of this program emerge as ‘Skilled Clinical Nutritionists, Dietitians, and Nutrition Consultants’, enabling them to pursue further higher studies & do research in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, along with plenty of job opportunities globally in hospitals, wellness centers, sports clinics, and research institutions.

Description: 2 Years Degree Program

No. of Credits: 80 minimum and as specified

  • The minimum qualification is B.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Allied Health Sciences or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

The M.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum spans 4 semesters, focusing on advanced nutrition science, therapeutic diet planning, public health nutrition, and clinical applications.
