Course Overview

The B.Sc. Public Health Nutrition program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is an undergraduate course designed to train students in promoting health and preventing diseases through nutrition science. This program prepares students to address public health challenges related to malnutrition, food security, and lifestyle diseases by integrating nutrition science with public health principles.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum emphasizes nutrition assessment, planning community nutrition programs, and evaluating food policies. With practical training, internships, and research projects, graduates emerge as skilled professionals ready to work in hospitals, community health organizations, research institutes, and international nutrition programs. Enabling them to pursue further higher studies & do research in Public Health Nutrition along with plenty of job opportunities globally.

Description: 4 Years Degree Program

No. of Credits: 160 minimum and as specified

The minimum eligibility is a pass in 10+2 with at least 50% marks in any stream (preferably with Biology, Chemistry, or Home Science) from a recognized board (CBSE/ISC) or equivalent.

The B.Sc. Public Health Nutrition curriculum spans 8 semesters, integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills in nutrition science, public health, and community program management.
