Course Overview
The B.Sc. Public Mental Health program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is an undergraduate course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to promote mental well-being, prevent mental health disorders, and address the psychosocial determinants of mental health. The program integrates mental health studies with public health principles to train students in developing community-based mental health programs and policies.
This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum focuses on mental health assessment, counseling strategies, mental health policy, and research. Students gain hands-on experience in community mental health interventions, mental health promotion, and support for individuals across different age groups. With practical training and internships, graduates will be prepared to contribute to healthcare organizations, NGOs, and mental health advocacy programs globally. Enabling them to pursue further higher studies & do research in Public Mental Health along with plenty of job opportunities globally.

The minimum eligibility is a pass in 10+2 with at least 50% marks in any stream (preferably with Psychology, Biology, or Social Sciences) from a recognized board (CBSE/ISC) or equivalent.
