School of Nursing Sciences and Technology believes that nurses need to be trained in specialized care in clinical and community settings in order to provide competent care to patients and enhance their quality of life. Nurses play vital role in prevention, promotion, curative and rehabilitative services. Expanding roles of nurses and advances in technology necessitate additional training to prepare them for effective participation in providing such vital role. The nursing programs are designed for nurses to enhance their knowledge and skills towards specialized nursing care.

Dr. N. Balasubramanian, Dean, School of Nursing sciences and Technology, Malla Reddy Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).
Dr. N. Balasubramanian completed under graduate from CSI Jeyaraj Annapackiam College of Nursing, Madurai, and post-graduated in mental health (Psychiatric) nursing from Vinayaka Missions Annapoorna College of Nursing, Salem. He has completed M.Phil. Nursing from Vinayaka Missions University, Salem, and PhD (N) from Yenepoya University, Mangalore. He is university rank holder and gold medalist in M.Phil .Nursing .He is having more than 23 years of teaching experience. He is having a sound knowledge on research and statistics and guided post graduate and doctorate nursing students .He has published various research articles in national and international journals, He is a member of various professional associations and organizes various conference, workshops, and seminars .He is a passionate teacher who is loved and appreciated by His students and associates.

Teaching Pedagogy
1 Academic year = 2 Semesters
Semester = 90 working days = Minimum 15 weeks
1 credit = 15 hours of lectures/tutorials = 2.5 – 3 days (or)
1 credit = 30 hours of Practical/Lab/Fieldwork/Seminar = About 5 days
20 credits = approximately 12-15 weeks including holidays and other requirements
Summer term = 8 weeks

4-year B.Sc. degree with honours – 160 credits in Major discipline
4-year Multidisciplinary B.Sc. degree with honours + research – 160 credits [75% marks and above in UG degree with 4th year research project or dissertation (12 credits) in the major discipline]
Students who exit with a UG certificate or UG diploma are allowed to re-entry within 3 years and complete the program within a maximum of 7 years
