Course Overview

The M.Sc. Transplantation Technology (Heart & Lung) program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is designed to provide specialized knowledge and advanced skills in the field of heart and lung transplantation. This postgraduate program focuses on training students in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of cardiac and pulmonary transplant patients, as well as the technical aspects of heart and lung procurement, preservation, and transplantation procedures.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum integrates classroom learning with practical training in state‑of‑the‑art cardiothoracic transplant facilities, covering areas such as organ‑specific transplant immunology, donor evaluation and coordination for heart and lung, and the management of dedicated transplant programs.Students gain expertise in managing critical care for heart and lung recipients, understanding the ethical and legal frameworks governing organ donation, and ensuring optimal graft outcomes through advanced preservation and perfusion techniques.
