Course Overview

M.Sc. Geriatric Care Technology program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is a postgraduate course designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills in managing the healthcare needs of the aging population, focusing on chronic disease management, rehabilitation, and improving the quality of life for elderly patients.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from 1st semester itself. The curriculum covers geriatric medicine, clinical pharmacology, geriatric rehabilitation, palliative care, and age-related health conditions such as dementia, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes. Students gain practical experience in elderly patient assessment, care planning, and the use of assistive technologies to support the elderly in both clinical and community settings.

Description: 2 Years Degree Program

No. of Credits: 80 minimum and as specified

  • The minimum eligibility is a B.Sc. degree in Geriatrics, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Biomedical Science or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

The M.Sc. Geriatric Care Medicine curriculum spans 4 semesters, focusing on advanced geriatric care practices, management of age-related disorders, palliative care, and eldercare unit administration.
