Course Overview

The M.Sc. Environment & Solid Waste Management program at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad, is a postgraduate program designed to provide advanced knowledge and hands-on training in the principles and practices of environmental science and the sustainable management of solid waste.

This program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills from the 1st semester itself. The curriculum focuses on environmental science, waste characterization, waste treatment technologies, waste recycling and resource recovery, environmental impact assessment, and environmental regulations. Students gain practical experience in analyzing waste samples, designing waste management systems, and conducting environmental impact assessments.

Graduates of this program emerge as ‘Advanced Environment & Solid Waste Management Professionals’, enabling them to pursue further higher studies & do research in Environment & Solid Waste Management along with plenty of job opportunities globally. This program equips graduates to work as environmental consultants, waste management specialists, and environmental engineers in various organizations, contributing to the protection of the environment and the sustainable management of waste.

Course Details

Description: 2 Years Degree Program

No. of Credits: 80 minimum and as specified

Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. Environmental Science/Environmental Studies/Biology/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology or equivalent OR a B.Tech./B.E. degree in Environmental Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
